Stephen’s Experience

Stephen has held IT leadership roles in several private-equity companies leading the Energy Transition, including Crossbridge Energy Partners, Enchanted Rock, and Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE).

Previously, as a consulting principal and Chief Technology Officer at MRE Consulting, a top-ranked firm for trading and risk management, Stephen led the global Information Technology Management practice. He expanded the client base, securing strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Air Liquide, BG Group/Shell, and Hearst. Stephen positioned MRE Consulting as a formidable competitor to the Big Four in IT strategy and infrastructure engagements.

Before MRE, Stephen founded StratITsphere Data Center Solutions, successfully transitioning the company to private-equity ownership and assuming the role of CEO. He drove the development of award-winning solutions, focusing on cloud, colocation, consulting, and outsourcing services. Prior to that, Stephen served as VP and CTO overseeing global infrastructure strategy and delivery at BG Group, a multinational oil and gas company. His earlier experience includes leadership roles in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and operations management at Accenture and Calpine Corporation.

Stephen has been widely recognized for his contributions to the IT industry, earning accolades such as inclusion in MSPmentor250’s “Top People in Managed Services” and CRN’s “Next-Gen 250 List of Groundbreaking Technology Companies.” He holds an MBA in finance from the University of Houston and a BA in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin. Stephen’s diverse expertise and proven leadership make him an asset in driving technological innovation and business growth.
